Need to lift the front and rear of a 66 2 door post, for some frame work. The trunk pans, floor pans, rear quarters, all recently renewed and in solid condition. I would like to loop a soft strap thru the open area in the rear panel support/ bracing in the pic.

Dont do that.If you have access to a 2 post offset lift use the pinch weld on the body.We used to get a bunch of people and pick them up and roll the frame out before we got the lift.

I don't have a 2 post offset lift. I've read here on TC about cutting a grove in a 2x4 and placing the pinch weld in the grove and lifting the body by jacking against the 2x4 to protect the pinch weld. Maybe two floor jacks at the same time.

Any thoughts? Thanks for the replies.

That would be just fine. I did it on my 70, through the drain plug's in the trunk. The body alone does'nt wiegh much at all.

Have two buddy's help you and pick it up by hand. That way you won't have to worry ;)
