To my earlier post when i removed the heater fan and looked in i could see a hole back there. I opend up the glove box and looked back and you can see the small hole. Can this be cut out and welded in while its in the car?? what kind of precautions do i need to take to protect my car.?

How big of a hole? could you go to Lowes, get one of those push in platic caps and fill it. I used them for the misc small holes in my firewall. Look good, can be removed if needed.

If you are not pulling the heater box out
to fix it, just fiberglass it and paint.
When you put the patch on, cover it with a piece of saran wrap til the epoxy cures.
When yo peel the plastic wrap off, it will leave a nice shiny surface. You will probably have some wrinkles if you can tolerate that. Otherwise, pull the box and replace it. I wouldn't weld it in the car.
