The columns from an A body 69-80 will work. I don't think the F body one will due to the fact the intermediate steering shaft is much shorter than that of an A body.

Up through 78-----------NOT 79 LATER, F-body (Camaro/Fbird) will work. Here is why. The joint at the lower end of the column shaft (NOT the intermediate shaft) is splined up through 78. In 79 the end of that shaft changed to two flats. Back in the mid 90s I built a 71 SS454 clone for one of my sons. A 78 Camaro tilt/cruise column was used (last year for splines). Its still doing great!
