Last weekend I finally got around to putting on new bumper I bought last winter. The bumper I took off was straight but the chrome was kind of smokey....

Anyways the bumper has the same issue as the previous. While the point in the middle lines up nicely with the center peak of the grille the bumper is too far to the passenger side that on the end it almost touches the fender where the bumper curls around. The other side looks to have about an extra inch clearance in the same spot. If you don't remember I banged up old Blue on the way to the NW regional ACES show in Graham in 2000. The bodyshop (collision and about the best around) did a good job of repairing the car and I have never noticed any driving issues or body alignment issues. Am I just crosseyed and missing something or or do I need to adjust something or should I have the bodyshop check over the frame where the bumper mounts?

Hope this makes sense and as always TIA for any replies.
EDIT: The brackets were replaced with used ones from a car that had a good front bumper setup. Or are they good
