i'm aligning the body panels on my '67, and am running into some trouble with the drivers side door. the top of the front edge of the door isn't aligned with the front fender... it needs to be sucked in about 1/8" the rest of the door fits perfectly, though... bottom, back, top, and the bottom and middle of the front edges. the top hinge is pressed all the way against the inner side of the door, so i can't slide it in any further. has anyone beenable to fix this before, or have any suggestions as to how to maybe fix this?

It sounds like the top of the fender needs to come OUT a little. If the door fits good at the rear then moving the door in more will make it move in at at the rear too.

ron- i tried that, but the gap between the fender and the hood and cowl panel becomes waaaay too big. that's why i'm kind of at a loss.
