thankks for every ones sugestions on bed removel. bought the spot weld drill bits they work great. having a hard time finding all the welds. taking bed out peace at at a time as im going with replacement bed from NPD have been wire weeling paint off as i go still having hard time locating all welds thanks again

( slow going in richmond)

Once our bed and beams were out, we covered everything and then sandblasted the other metal parts (Inside of lower fenders, smugglers box areas, etc).

Since you are keeping the original support beams, etc., sandblasting will really "CLEAN" everything up. Remember, properly prepared parts will take the painting process perfectly.

It's somewhat messy, however, we used plastic sheets which captured the sand for reuse and to keep the mess down.
