i usually go to disney land, around the 1st or second week of oct. or second week of feb. kids are still new back at school, and during the week you'll have the park to yourself. we went on the temple of doom ride like 23 times in a row, never waited for any ride, walk right in, jump on ride and go, no lines for anything. only thing is, i think they close the park at dusk....

From the internet:

The busiest periods at Disney World are from mid-February to August and from Christmas Day to New Years Day. The slowest months are January, September, October and November. The busiest day of the week seems to be Tuesday with Friday and Sunday being the least crowded.
Hurricane season is roughly from August to October. This is probably why these months are less crowded. Though it may rain every day during this season, the showers are often short and sometimes very light. Having a plastic rain parka can make this a very minor inconvenience.
The theme parks are generally less crowded after 4:00 p.m., especially Magic Kingdom and MGM Studios. Epcot seems to be the opposite, it is least crowed early in the morning.

I like late March or early April. No crowds and it's still warm enough to lay out by the pool.

We may have to keep in touch, I am taking my family to Disney World the third week of October I think it is.

I haven't told the kids yet, but I personally am so excited to get there I can hardly take it!!

When is their Gay Pride Week or whatever they call it?
I had a friend who took the family during that period and spent a lot of time explaining things to the kids.......

We usually go in late October/ early November. The weather usually isn't to bad. It can still be fairly warm during the day. Last year we had showers on and off several days but generally not to heavy. A plastic poncho works great. Last year it was fairly crowded, but the other years have been great. We have to take my daughter out of school for a week, but it's worth it. Have a great time !

We went for our honeymon, and stayed there. Bonus is you can get into parks earlier, and there's less travel time. Most people don't know, but you can use the Disney busses between the parks for free. They have regualr routes, and are marked where each one goes.

The World Street Finals is in Orlando the 2nd weekend in October. Talk about a crazy race.

Maybe you can fit both in the same weekend

Ditto. I have been to Disneyworld twice, both times the last week of September, first week of OCtober. It's not unbearably hot and the lines were not too terrible. Of course I was 9 the first time we went and 11 the second time. I still have some of my "Disney Dollars" :D.
