What is the best primer to use over bare matal to protect against rust? I'm not getting it painted right away an I don't want it rusting while I'm finishing the rest of the car,and it's going to get some weather on it.

A wash primer with an epoxy over it...I have some of my Elky parts sitting with a wash/2k primer on them.Got the 2k from our "Buddy" "Dan the Man" :D

I used some regular crappy tire rust primer and dusted it over with engine fog for now . It keeps alloy and chrome good through the winter and it washes off easy with mild dish soap :D I'll look into that wash/2k stuff. I think theres a "Dan the man" in every area. Cheers Dan graemlins/thumbsup.gif
