I have noticed lately that the the distance between the inner fenders on my 69 and the frame in the front is not the same. The passenger side is pretty close, maybe 1/4 inch between the inner and the frame rail and the drivers side is at least 2". Is this normal? Fenders and hood fit pretty good. Nothing seems to be out of alignment.
Inners are goodmark steel repops.

Maybe one of the inner fenders was stamped off shape. I had that happen. One fit perfect and one was way off. In fact the driver's was off. This was on my 66.

71 same thing. One is closer to the frame than the other. The battery side is the one closer to the frame. NO big deal, get some sleep !!!! :D

The inner fenderwells had actually worn into the frame on the 68 Beaumont I took apart. The edge of the steel fender was rubbing the frame on both sides and they left little indentations in the frame.
