Well here are some pictures of the work I'm doing to the el camino. I replaced all the front suspension bushings, ball joints, springs, etc... Since the car had been sitting since 1988 I also had the booster rebuilt and replated. And I also had the master and proportioning valve rebuilt and powdercoated. I sent the caliper brackets and backing plates out and had them replated with the booster. Overkill for a driver but it looks cool.
I installed the new rear axles, bearings and seals then the rear brakes and bled the system Friday. The engine and trans went back in yesterday. I have a few adds and ends to work on and I'm still waiting for the carb to get back but I figure it should be ready to go in two weeks. Other than the rims and radio the only thing I found that was not an original date coded part was the water pump. So, in order to keep it original I had the original booster, master, alternator, starter and carb rebuilt/restored.
I tried to post pictures heere but couldn't figure it out but you can view the pictures on my photobucket account. The pictures are oldest to newest so they should be reviewed in reverse order. FYI, I have a bunch more pictures including some of the original paint dabs (markings) used during assembly.
