I'm thinking I would be best keeping a vacuum advance distributor on my driver wagon with a somewhat mild 406 w/ vortec heads, and using a non vacuum advance distributor on my conv with a more radical 402 and a 4sp. ?
Does this sound right?

I'd retain vacuum advance on both cars since they're street drivers. Better for fuel economy...
Vacuum advance is removed on a drag motor because at WOT it's not in use anyhow.

Keep the vac advance, it'll help idle quality, keep the plugs clean, and improve fuel economy.
