I am thinking about building a 67 chevelle street machine and would like to know if anybody can give me info on a one piece front clip that pivots up some where around the front bumper or frame rails, yet is still able to open the hood normally. Is there anything out there like that or will I have to do some extensive fabricating? Some of my concerns are the bottom of the fenders clearing the rest of the car as the clip pivots up, and the general stability of the front clip. Any info would be appreciated. Thanks-Jeff

gerneraly the fenders wont clear the car as the nose pivonts. mots people cut the fenders and attatch the bottom half of the rear part right to the car. to get the whole front to pivot and still beable to open the hood normally I would think that you would need to make some type of skeleton frame that would support the whole nose and keep the fenders from spreading when the nose was up.

I have seen some complex setups that actually move the entire front clip forward, then tilt up so the fenders clear. Complex, but cool.
