: BBC distributor clamp wrench

i bought one from sears thinking that would mak it easy to adjust timing...but there is a rigd on the manifold which wont allow the wrench to go down far enough to engage the bolt so this wrench is useless...

what tools do you BBC guys use to get on this squarely so as not to round the hex??

who is supplier? where?? how much if you remember?

Try a different brand,I use a K-D Tool # 104 and it fits every engine I used it on so far. The 9/16" side has a step in it and just enough offset to fit most manifolds. The Ford/Mopar side is just offset.

Philip is on the money, there are SEVERAL configurations of dist wrenches on the market. Check several sources, including NAPA.
