I need to know the length of the long version of the booster to master cylinder rod. I have one of the short ones for when I finish switching to my front wheel disc brakes. I measures about 2.615. What does the long one measure?

Thanks,
Chris

For manual the rod is six inches long

I know the manual one (with the clevis on one end) is about 6" long, I have one of those also.

What I am looking for is the length of the long version of the one that goes between the master cylinder and the power booster. Then I can have power 4 wheel disc with my current master cylinder until I finish getting the parts together to upgrade to front disc (which I have the master cylinder and the short pushrod for).

Thanks again,
Chris

I found one about 4 states away and tried that one, it seems to be very close at 4.000. Somebody else told me that it should be 4.050, so I might have one made that length and try it also.

I measured a long rod the other day, and it was exactly 4.000 long. The short rod I have in my car right now is 2.605. Also seems like there is a 6" variety. Don't know what the actual lengths should be, but it might just be a matter of tolerances. The important dimension should be the tip-to-seat dimension though. If I remember correctly, it's 0.200 shorter than the overall length.

So much for engineering, I had to shim my master cylinder anyway to make it work. :clonk:
