Im going to be puting in some new floor pan sections and 2 floor plan braces. Do I need to put some kind of rust preventative on them or is there somthing already on them? If I do need to put something on them what should I use? Thanks

I used POR-15 on my braces, as they started rusting just sitting around for a while. But where you are going to weld and the surrounding area it might not turn out so well. Use the Weld-through primer in those areas.
It's zinc rich and if the weld doesn't get TOO hot it will be ok. If you can touch it up if the welding process burns it, that would be best.
Make sure you have good ventilation. Burning that zinc will bite ya.
On the pans, if they are e-coated black, leave it like that until you are ready to paint. I scuffed mine, put primer over it, and then on the bottom used 3M undercoating I got at he paint & body supply store. I am a beginner, if I did something wrong hopefully the pros will point it out.
