Does anyone know if someone makes a neutral safety/backup light switch for a 1964 Chevelle SS?

Unfortunately it says column shift and this is for a console. I am giving them a call however to make sure they don't make the other.

Thanks.

They said they don't make it. If anyone else knows where I can find one of these, I would appreciate it.

occasionally you'll see NOS ones on eBay going for 75 to 100 bucks. M & H Electric fabricators makes one for a 67. You might try contacting them to see if they plan on repopping ones for 64's. Good luck. Tony

OPGI shows one -

"Fits 1964-67 Chevelle and El Caminos with TH350, TH400, TH200-4R, TH700-R4, 4L60. Works on cars with factory floor shifters only.

NOTE: Switch can be used on 1964's, but the wiring connectors must be modified and the switch must be installed facing outward."

Their part #C210143

I've got a powerglide, I swore I saw one for manual trans somewhere. Thought I had seen one for powerglide.

I can't believe it was such a one off. I wonder how hard it would be to fabricate something.

=== Check out this link also, just found it. They show a swithch for a '65 with consol http://www.wiringharness.com Danchuk also has one for the 65.

===== Edited even later - looks like the switch was once available, now discontinued, at least here http://1964-77chevelleparts.com/catalogPDFs/A1%2007%20electrical.pdf
