Will 68 Chevelle tail light housings fit on a 69? Will they line up right in relation to the bumper? I always thought the 68 looked cleaner than the 69. Thanks for the help. Jason

: 68 tail light housings on a 69? JWA May 3rd, 01, 7:41 PM I can't tell you for sure but one thing I know is the opening on the body is shaped differently between 68 and 69. The 69 opening is a larger oval shape and MAYBE with a little fabrication of the opening you could get the 68 tail lamp corner assembly to work/fit. Good Luck. Then cut and sectioned the back behind the bumper so that it went at the proper angle. The opening for the taillight housing is slightly different as well but I did get the 68 to fit the hole. Hard to remember but i think the 69 bulged out further and had to be hammered flat, then the housing would bolt on. In the end everything turned out real well, I was actually pretty surprised.
