Hi, Its me back again to say I found out what tha boom boom boom was. It seems that unfortunately when trust is given but not deserved.... **** like this occur. Recently I had my auto trany replaced for a 4 speed set up.. While doing this,I asked my "friend" and mechanic.... long time... to replace the valve seals due to blue smoke on start up and also replace all four drum shoes with the bestter quality shoes which I provided. Well. here comes the ****.. The car still smokes,and he moved away out of state,which I knew about. Now after discovering the boom noise.my new shoes fell apart... And they are not.I repeat,NOT,new. They never were replaced.. I really only pulled off the front drivers side,but Im almost certain,,the others are my old ones also.. Only in the last few years I ,thanks to this site,have been doing more of my own work. But,its sad,that honor is a rare attribute,and when a man or woman,works hard for the money,,,and you pay fairly for a job to be done,,,,,,,,this can occur. I apologise for the rant,but I feel like this site offers me the friends,I only wish to have and meet. thanks phil
