I have a 1972 chevelle 350 cu in, and just got a brake booster for it. just wondered what "t" fitting i need to connect to the intake manifold? 5/8? 3/8? Also where can i get one? will a pumbers 't' work?

You have some choices here. I think that the original setup took vacuum from a tapped hole in the rear of the carburetor. If that is not an option, take a look at some cars in the junkyards. They will have some weird and useful vacuum fittings that may work for you.

i have one in the back of the carb. it has a metal threaded plug, so i can remove it and just put a fitting in, whats the size of that plug?

I think that it is 1/4 inch pipe thread.
