I have a 69 Malibu project .... it was paint code 67 - Burgandy mettalic - the unusual thing is that the rockers are silver - just below the lower molding, it was either a real good job after the fact or factory - looks factory to me but i have not seen this before.
Has anyone else seen this?

look at the '69 Malibu on my website. I think it says Troy and Tracys '69 or something like that.
It has the silver on the bottom and across the rear between the tailights. It is the factory paint.

So does my '69 Malibu that I've got sitting in my backyard which is a "Tri"-tone. Interesting color combination -- azure turquoise, classic white top, argent silver below body trim molding. And to top it off the interior is black!
You guys are cool, thanks for the info - Do you believe it to be "ARGENT" silver? or "Another Silver"?
I'm going back with the burgandy metallic - might as well go back with the silver on the bottom if I can match out the color correctly.
This one had a White vinyl top, I am undecided as whether or not I should go back with the vinyl roof.
It had parchment interior.

MrEd,
I'm not too sure it is argent silver. Checking on it as this had been discussed in this forum at one time....
