I purchased a chevelle and noticed that if you get any water in the trunk the paint becomes wet!!?? water soluble... huh??

Anyway, what's the best paint to use for the trunk on a 67 that won't do this?

You have to put a clear coat over it, or any water will just lift off the splatter paint.

Will normal clear coat out of a spray can work? I assume flat is correct?
