I installed my new front brakes, and everything went pretty smoothly, except one issue that started with the old brakes...
The last time I drove the car with the "old" brakes, the drivers-rear locked up prematurely... I determined that this was most likely a bad wheel cylinder on the passenger rear...
I replaced the wheel cylinder, and BEFORE bleeding the rears, I pumped the pedal...
The pedal went all the way down... at first it made sense, because the new rear cylinder was empty...
BUT then I remembered that the front system is separate from the rear (NO "combination" or metering block, just an adjustible Proportioning valve in the rear supply line...)...
I had previous bled the front brakes when I installed the new brakes, and am now wondering what is happening...
The master is a 67-76 Corvette master, and I was wondering if there was some sort of internal bypass or other way for pressure to bypass the fronts...
After bleeding the rear, the pedal is very stiff, but I haven't test drove it to see IF the front brakes are working properly...
Any suggestions?
