I finally got my mounted holes "retapped" and am ready to go. My bar is the standard 15/16". The bushings I have don't wrap all the way around the bar. I went to 2 different places and the "15/16" bushings all did the same. The 1" bushing was clearly too big. Will this bushing push together properly when mounted and compressed? In addition, it seems like the bushing stick out a mile from the mounting shell. I saw the earlier posts where folks just used a longer bolt to get it started. Do I have the right bushings?

Rubber bushings will squish down tight around the bar. Poly bushings will fit tight, but allow the bar to rotate more freely.
