My 69 Malibu is painted silver at the bottom. A few days ago I noticed that there was a little corrosion under the paint on the section just ahead of the drivers door. I got out my touch up paint, and after clean the corrosion off and doing a little sanding, I used a brush to touch up the spots. The paint I used is the same paint the car was painted with about a year ago. The touched up spots look darker than the surrounding paint and this bothers me. I was told if I sprayed the paint on it would match much closer. Since I don't have a spray gun, I'm tempted to try this thing. Anyone else tried this?

If you are referring to the Preval sprayers, they are an excellent product with many uses. I have a couple at any given time and have several of their glass jars capped with various paints in them. Only thing to remember is to thin the paint well, as it will clog and spit blobs if you don't. I know this http://www.chevelles.com/forum/smile.gif

Personally, I never had any luck with them!
Better off finding someone that has a real sprayer. Rattle can paint would be another choice. (better than brushing it on)

I have used them, and absolutley love em. But you do have to make sure the paint is thinned correctly.
I say give it a try.
