I am just about to put my front end back together using 2" drop springs. My question is, should I use "offset" cross shafts so the car will align better, or just use the existing cross shafts and shims? Does anyone know if MOOG makes the offset shafts? As an aside, would I be better off keeping everything else stock and lowering the car w/ drop spindles instead? Thanks!

Yeah you`ll want the offset shafts to set the arms inboard more. Lowering the car with springs will improve the geometry a little for better handling. Drop spindles just lower the car and make it more likely that the wheel will hit the tie rod ends. ;) Even with the offset shafts you`ll need a bunch of shims on the rear studs. Shoot for about -1/2* camber and +5* caster. You probably won`t be able to get it but try to keep the - camber and compromise the caster. FWIW a set of adj. upper arms would let you nail both specs. and you wouldn`t need the offset shafts. Mark SC&C

Thanks for the info, money wise i'm gonna stick w/ the stock arms for now, I went ahead and ordered up the offset shafts.

I also am in the process of installing 2" drop spindles. I got the offset shafts at Classic Performance Products.
Just can't decide on what springs to purchase yet.

The springs i am using are 2" drop (they call them low profile) springs from OPG, havent put them in yet but they look ok. They are made for OPG by JAMCO.

Offset Moogs cost less @ RockAuto.com than the stock shafts do @ OPGI.
