It's that time again! :D I know alot of us have or have not done the home paint job. I am still convinced I will be doing it myself and building a little economy booth setup. Ive got most of the supplies I need, I just need a watertrap for my compressor (not sure what to get) and oh yeah, the paint :D Anyone who has done this id love to see some pictures, someone on here has a 70' I think it was, and did a PPG single stage job himself, there was snow in the picture, it was nice I like the way it turned out. At this point I just neeeed some paint! So pictures, stories, paint tips....

I've painted 1 completed vehicle and it came out OK, not even sure what paint I used, it was cheap and single stage. Didnt come out too bad...

Also paint selection. There is a BC/CC Honda 2000 Blue which I really like. I think I want a medium blue with slight hit of purple in it?

Well hopefully you have thought of this already but look out for yourself and the neighbors as well, also check into any certain local laws about spraying.

If you want a sweet med blue with a hint of purple check chrylser's brigdewater blue found on 2001 or 2002 cars way to sweet. OEM number PBW, when the sun hits that color  its beautiful

Thanks! Yeah the laws and safety in my area Ive checked into. Ive painted in my garage once before a few years ago and it came out ok. I could do ALOT better these days. Is that paint PPG? I'll check it out, sounds really nice.

PBW is the OE Chrylser paint code.
If I recall right the PPG code is 5695. I Sprayed this color last week and I can double check that code for ya. I think Chrysler has some of the coolest colors out there, GM is graemlins/boring.gif
