Oh guru's of Chevelle Tech I come for help.
I just started my 350 in my 67 camino and it started first time great! I was breaking in the cam I was about 2500 rpm for just a few minutes when I heard what sounded like the starter engaging and not shuting off. Within a couple a seconds I shut down the engine. Now the starter will not turn over the engine and the engine is not siezed thank goodness. I had good oil pressure when I shut it down. There are no burned wires I checked for that and everything seems like it's fine.
Did the starter break? Before I reinstaled the starter I took it to Kragens and it checked out good.

What should I do?
The engine sounded fine! raspy with open headers. There is nothing like first firing your project on the 4th of July.
Help me get that feeling back.
Thanks

Check the starter again, and make sure you had it wired right, sometimes its hard to remember where the wires go after its been apart for a while.

The wiring was right. I double checked it.....I let the engine cool and I looked at the starter and the gear was still engaged. I took it out now the gear is back where it should be. I gues the starter was engaged the whole time I was running it but I didn't hear any noise. Until it froze. So Now I'm going back to test it again and buy a replacement and a few shims.
Lets hope it works
