i just got mine repainted to and the shop said i cant cover for at least 3 months. Basically i think its so long because it is winter here and temps usually dont get about 30-40 degrees much of the time, so the paint is not going to cure like it would in the summer with temps in the 80s. He said the paint will be soft and any moisture under the car cover could make the cover stick and become part of the paint. I asked even a 100% cotton one, he told me yup!. so i dont have any cover on mine. I got a 3 car garage and put a tarp as a wall and put another tarp haning from the rafters and made a inclosure to keep the dust off the car. its not 100 dust proof but it helps ALOT. when it gets nice out i might pull it out and hose it off everyonce in while to keep the dust from bonding to the paint.

Dust is not going to hurt your new Paint..Puting a cover on it will do more harm then a layer of Dust ever will...
After it's Cured , Then you can Wax and seal your new painted Ride..

Wayner is right - don't even take it out to wash it till spring. Washing it could do more harm than good , the dust may look bad on your new finish but if left alone will not harm it! Remember that if you touch your dusty car it will make small scratches in your paint!

my body man told me not to use a car cover for a month, but he said I could wash it any time I wanted.

GM paints cars everyday with no problems with rain and water so i dont know why having someone else paint it would make a whole lot of difference.
maybe im wrong just a thought.

There are many covers to choose from... how can you tell what fabric is best?
