I am ready to paint my 69 Chevelle frame with POR15. What are the POR15 guys doing about all the frame bolt holes. To keep the paint from getting into the threads. I was thinking about using silicon caulking.
I will be using the Marine clean and metal ready. These should be applied and washed off in 65 to 90 degree temps. Calling for 20s and 30s temps here in MD this wk end. Do you see any draw backs on washing frame outside using Castrol Super Clean on frame? Then move inside to do the final prep(washing)for paint.Garage will be heated to 75 degrees with 2 torpedo heaters. POR15 will be applied by brush. Has anyone used a roller for this?
Thanks guys.

For the bolt holes, I always stick a bolt in the hole and paint around, and then remove it right away.

The rest of your plan looks pretty good.

Try using a foam brush, does'nt leave brush marks.
