do you usually paint you car off the frame or on? My body is currently off the frame on a body rotator. I want the body to be all the same color, i.e. firewall and bottom will be body color, not black. Frame is paint different color. I am not painting the car myself so I am sure whoever I get to do it will have an opinion but I am curious far a planning goes. If I paint it on the body rotator, I am concerned about scratches during installation. Also, how do they line up the stripes on the hood, etc. if the hood is off. thanks

Ive never painted a car not on a frame, i would think it would be extremely difficult Not to scratch it. IMO I would cut it the bottom ,firewall etc bolt it to the frame and mask it off(frame).
The stripe stencil kit will position itself correctly on the hood, just measure accuratly. I prefer to paint the stripes with the hood on so i can stand back and check alignment before laying the paint.
