Could this cheapo welder be used with gas? It doesnt say anything about it.

All the cash going into new rear wheels and tires! Need a decent MIG on a budget, not easy to do. I dont think this thing can go with gas anyways.

I have heard here that the Chicago Elecric brand and a welder rated less than 135 amp are both not worth buying, but I understand the budget situation. Good luck with the search

Spend the cash on a Quality welder, it'll be worth more to you in several years than the wheels and tires. smile.gif

Go to a welding supply store. Get the whole pkg at one time. That way if you do have problems or questions they will be resolved.

Well it's done! My long waited MIG needs are over. I bought a Lincoln Sp-100T and 75%Argon , all brand new :D anyone use the sp 100? Smaller unit but its a lincoln and will take care of what I need done.

I called the local welding outfitter that we have an account with at work and told them that I found the $804 (that they quoted me) Lincoln SP135 PLUS for $539 free shipping on the net and asked them if they wanted to dance. Guess what? A half hour latter I was picking it up. :D I was ofcoarse very nice and freindly about it, but I couldn't help thinking WOW, I don't mind you making a little $$$ off me but I don't feel I should make your car payment for you this month! It is nice to have bought from a local service center for warranty protection. Punkt that 100 will work great they sell it at eastwoodco.com just for body work. Your grandkids will enjoy it someday ;)
