I'm sure Im not dreaming cause I think I printed it out at one time, now I cant find it in a search?? I removed doors, hood, deck lid, fenders, etc. for painting and now I'm having trouble with the hood. #1 when I start to close the hood one spring breaks loose before the other so it throws the hood off just a little but then it straightens up about half way to close. I think one side of the hinge to hood adjustment is to far off from the other side. #2 the driver side rear of the hood sticks up about 1/4" higher than the fender. the front of the hinges (to fender) is all the way up and the back hole is all the way down. I had someone push the hood open as hard as they could and then I tightened down the bolts, that helped as it was 1" high at first. now I've considered putting a shim in the front hindge to hood hole to help this, but Im wondering about the fender adjustment. when I took the car apart I took tape and rapped around each set of shims and marked where they were at and wrote on them with a sharpe. well after a mishap the tape got wet and all shim locations are unreadable. my question is could putting some shims on the cowl area under the fender hole be a better option. it looks like the fender has a little more of a bow that the door so I'm thinking I just need to bring the fender up. I hope I didnt totally confuse everyone and sorry for the long post. I just want the panels to be perfect. thanks
