Hi, I kind of feel bad turning to you guys for wisdom about my broken car. I haven't been active on this forum for a long time but that is because I was planning on selling my chevelle. But the other day I took it out for a cruse to keep the spiders off of it and it pulled right really hard. I then took it to the movies later that night. On the way home the car started to pull left and all over the place when I braked. My Power booster had gone out the previous week.
I limped it home and looked under the car to find my lower control arm only attached to the spinal and the front mount. The back mount was ripped off the frame and took the lower piece of the frame with it. What would any of you guys recommend I do? I don't feel comfortable welding it myself; I'm not the greatest at it. The only reason I was selling the car was because the body is rusted from the vinyl top.
What do you think?
Thanks for reading my endless ramble,
Sean

It does not appear to be all that badly rusted. I would suggest that you carefully disassemble the entire assembly and have a competent welder reattach the torn piece with some appropriate gusseting. Either that or fabricate a new piece.

There is NO reason why that cannot be fixed.

Incidentally that really sucks! :)
