Guys, I'm getting ready to install the front bumper on my 72. On the bigger(outer) brackets, towards the top, there is a 1/2-13 weldnut on each one. What are these for, if anything? There was nothing there when I took it apart 3 years ago, and I never gave them a second thought until now. Am I missing some parts that could be vital to the bumper install? I can't find anything in the assy. man. Thanks, Dennis

Hey deejay

The weld nut is to hold an "L" bracket that extends upward. The bracket has a crimped on rubber bumper. I think it's to bump the rad support when you're jacking up on the front bumper. It won't hold you up. You can install one later if ever.
