hey guys, i tried mounting the ground strap in the dash..... made sure it was ground, changed the light bulbs, and they still dont turn on
? what could it be? fuses? any body have any tips on how to mount the ground strap? i mounted it be hing the speedometer, and behing the headlight switch where it goes.......so what am i doing wrong?

Instrument panel lights get power from parking lamp fuse, parking lamp fuse gets power from headlight switch. Check both fuses. Are the parking lights working?

all the lights work except the domw light on the inside and on the instrument. the headlights side marker and brake lights all work.

damn! i didnt turn the knob to the left ...maybe they work........im gonna mount it agin and give it a shot.

nope that didnt work either, i hook it up again, and this time i turned it and everything i could think of. nothing worked...hmmmm anybody?

Are the fuses good? Did you check both sides of the fuses for power.

I would pull the headlight switch out and check it out. As I understand it you have all other lights except for dash? Dash lights will take a power feed from the parking light circuit and feed it back into the headlight switch reostat. You can check out the reostat with an ohm meter for an open circuit.

I think there is also a seperate itty bitty fuse for the panel lights in the fuse block that you might check. I think that is the shortie in the panel.
