I'm to the priming stage of my rebuilt 355, all new lifters, oil pump, pushrods, roller rockers, but no oil on left side, I have good flow all through the right side but no even a trickle on the left, I have been priming for @ 20min and and turning the motor a little at a time.

Pull the lifter out of the rearmost left location and see if you get any oil flow. If not, you have clogged oil passages between there and the oil pump. It's also possible to cause a flow restriction if the rear oil galley plugs were set in too deep. You didn't install oil restrictors by any chance?

I have good flow at the rear of the motor on the left, no restrictors were installed.

Do you have oil flow down the left galley but just not up the lifters and pushrods? Did you prime your lifters prior to installing them? If it's just not getting up the lifters and pushrods it could be an oil pressure thing (not enough). Are you sure the oil galley plug is in place at the left front? Are you reading any pressure at the gauge?

Does your primer have the 2 aluminum bushings? I have heard that some primers are not capable of getting oil clear up to the top in all places.

If it is just a shaft that turns the pump, you will only get oil pressure to one side.

Exactly what Bill said! If the inside of the block is not blocked it will not go where it needs to. For this reason I have a primer that my father made out of an old points distributor 25 years ago so the oil flows where it's supposed to. It may not be fancy and it may be ugly but it works.
