Hello out there, we have a '68 chevelle and are having problems de-coding it.
the VIN # is 13637 8z129988

The trim tag reads as follows 01D 131200 030601
68-13637 BF13904
766 PP
Any help will be much appreciated!

It is a V8 2 door Malibu coupe built in Fremont CA the 4th week of January. It was a Seafrost green metallic car with a black bucket seat interior. I would expect it would have a floor shift because of the bucket seats as most were.

Thanks alot Jeff that helps us out, now we need to figure out what the proper engine is for the car, right now it's still a bucket.

Pretty much the choice for engine would have been a 307 or 327. A stroked SBC would be a good choice :)

Seafrost Green is a really difficult color to photograph as they really tend to look more silver than green. Expanding on the links above, also look at http://www.collectormotors.com/68chevelle/paint.html
