can anyone give me an honest answer about a 67 nos ss hood. I recently bought a 67 malibu and it came with an ss hood. It has the louvers and the front trim. Any help would be great.

what I want to know is how rare are these and what kind of price could I get out of this. If it is not much then I would keep it for the car. It is not going to be an original car so it doesnt matter to me about an nos hood.

I got my '67 Malibu back in 1991 and it had an SS hood on it, plus I got the original flat hood. So my dad sold the SS for $150. A couple years later I was talking to a guy that had just bought an SS hood for $450. I got screwed by my ignorance. He said he had a hard time finding it. But, this was way before they were offering new repops. The repops I've seen are about $400, I think. If your hood is in good shape, I think you could get $400, since it's NOS. Anyone else have any more recent experiences? I hope this helps.

I bought a new SS repo hood for $250.00 plus shipping. It fits terrible. I have been looking for a stock SS hood but they are hard to find with out rust or damage. I think you could get $350.00 to $400.00 if it's real nice.

Are you sure it's actually NOS from GM? It would be easy for someone to have a new repop'd one and CLAIM it's NOS. IF it is actually GM, then I'd think it would be worth quite a bit, especially since several people I've spoken too aren't happy with the repop SS hood.

the hood doesnt have the box but the gm part number is still on the inside of the hood.It has never been painted and just a small spot of surface rust. Might be the size of a dollar bill.

What part of Indiana are you in and how much are you looking to get? My dad is looking for a hood.
