Hey,I have never posted here before but have been reading for a while now and
I thought it was normal to replace rubber with poly bushings in the rear as I have redone my whole suspension about 5 yrs ago with all poly.I had a nice firm ride alot more in control, better feeling, but now im reading you should leave the rear all rubber or half rubber? What is this all about when did it change or what does it do for handling?
Any updating would be appreciated as Im about to start work on my car again.

well I put all poly in about 8 years ago. I've been pretty happy with it. But it does seem to have a harsh ride in the back, and I'm wondering if the poly might be binding. It could just be the stiff springs, which is what I've always attributed it too. Dunno, 6 or a half dozen take your pick.

Is there something already posted on here that I should read?I think I might have missed something like I said I havent even driven the car or worked on it for at least 4yrs so I thought what better time then now to start researching again.I want it to handle(no track days)and stop, repeatedly as good as possible and achieve both without breaking the bank!(there will be no 6 piston whatever brakes in my budget)But I do like the options Im reading about here!
Thanx

Don't mean to sound like a wad, but this topic has lots of comments from both sides. Like anything how much do you want to spend? Search Brakes and Suspension for user names Derek69SS, and dennis68. This will give you more reading material than you can handle tonite, also have a look at http://www.scandc.com/, very highly regarded on this site. Also, the Pro Touring forum has tons of info as well. Good luck, Daren

The poly/rubber topic usually makes for a pretty heated debate. Use the search function, and you'll find a ton of threads. Here's one (http://www.chevelles.com/forums/showthread.php?t=116248).
