I am looking for a proportioning valve for my 69 SS. I looked on Year One but could only find a 71/72 Combination valve. Does this fit a 69, if not where can I find one. I am having problems with by braking system and the dash light coming on. It has been determined that I need a new proportioning valve for a front disc rear drum setup.
Can anyone help??

I think the one they show has become universal to all applications. It looks like the same one that master power brakes includes with all of their kits.

The Universal Prop valve has different fitting sizes than you old one. I posted the size difference here not to long ago and what was needed to make it work. Search back a bit under Proportional valve.

I found your post, thanks. I have my Chevelle in the shop and needed the info just in case the valve is the culprit to my problem. The brake light lights when I step hard on the brakes. The shop is checking the brake system from front to back to be sure that this is or is not the problem.
So in a nutshell I can order the one from Year One but have the shop adapt the fittings.

Well the proportioning valve is the problem. Good pressure into the valve, little to no pressure out. I have a proportioning valve on order from Original Parts Group. I got the overnight shipping, even after that cost it was only $5 more than Year One's base. Looks like I will be doing more shopping with OPGI in the future if their prices beat Steal One.

Not sure what you're referring to: The distribution block down on the frame, or the metering valve that hangs under the master cyl. Repro metering valves are available from several suppliers, Ground Up, OPGI, maybe Year One, too

On the frame, the Proportioning valve between front and rear disc/drum.
I got screwed by OPGI, I requested that the part be sent directly to the shop that is doing the work since they request a signature on delivery. I am not home during the day to recieve the part. Well they did not send out the part, they said something about first time orders must be sent to the home. So now the part will not arrive until Thursday. Why did I bother sending the part next day air???
