I started my project out with Spies-hecker red-brown acid etching paint and went over that with an acrylic primer made by them. After spending over $500 at the local paint supply store they tell me my best bet for a color match in Lemans Blue is going to be a Dupont product.
O.k. so I seal the primer with Dupont sealer and switch products.
The kicker is they have no customer service so will not reccomend which products to use beyond the fact that the Lemans Blue is availalble in Dupont.
I need to know exactly what to order from them to paint this car. If I can get the info I will get the tech sheets and go from there. From the posts I have read I gather that Chroma Premier is a good way to go.
Please let me know the specifics needed to order this paint and what clear I should put over the base.
Thanks a bunch
I still can' believe the supply store won't make suggestions. Probably a liability thing.

I checked out the Dupont site but I don't know which sealer or clear to use. I think I will go with the Chromapremier base, but what should I use for the sealer and clear coat?
Thanks

$$$Glamourclear$$$ I believe is their best clear. I've heard and seen very very good results concerning it. If you order the Chroma Premier paint then there is a sealer and regular clear that go with the Chroma Premier series of products. This should not be a problem for the people you are dealing with. Sorry I can't remember the specific names of the products. Too many paint fumes! I hope this has been some help. andrew

I forgot to tell you but they use ChromaPremier paint in collision shops. Very good stuff. Lifetime Warranty. Also if you have it sealed with a Dupont product allready you probably don't have to reseal it again. You have several clears to chose from depending on your environment. Speak to a living Dupont Rep. they can tell you what you need to know. A.
