I have my vent windows out on my 68. The seals around the vents windows are in nice shape, so I'll not replace them. BUT, the seal that the door glass runs in (not the one inside the door, but the one adjacent to the vent window) needs to be replaced.

Where can I find one and what is that seal called???

Also, how hard is it to replace with the vent window assembly installed? Just tryong to decided whether I have to deal with this right now or if it can wait until after paint.

Thx

I believe its called the vertical glass channel run. I replaced mine with the vent windows in and the window glass out and the car was already painted. If I remember right there was a metal insert that was braded in the channel that needed to be removed (and discarded) before the replacment seal could be installed. I drilled the brads out. It was a bit ackward to do but not that bad.

I got mine at southwest classics in Arlington Tx.
I suspect most of the vendors sell the seal.
