Has anyone used the full quarter panels put out by Ausleys ( $ 349.00 )or NPD ( $320.00 )? Acording to both companies they are full sail panel, trunk lip and door jamb. I was wondering about the quality, fit etc. I was ready to go with Goodmark ( $450.00 )bt with that diff. in price I thought it was worth the question. Thanks for your time AL

Yes, goodmark is the way to go , I had the full goodmarks installed on my 66 and the fit is 98% excellent,. www.luttys.com (http://www.luttys.com) has them for 399 per side, located injPittsburgh.

The Ausley's and NPD panels are likely Goodmark panels. Just call them and ask. They'll tell you if they are or not.

Ive had one company try and pull a fast one on my. I bought a pair goodmark fenders for a 70, the company claimed that they were the new retooled design. But when I got them they werent in a goodmark box like all other goodmark products Ive bought. To make a long story short dont believe what the company tells you, this one passed off a other competeriors fender as a goodmark because the profit margin was higher.

Plus if I remember right I called NPD about those quarters when they first came out, the guy told me that the quarter was a full quarter but the sail panel wasnt complete, it was roughly only 4 inches complete meaning the sail panel was whacked short...Eric

I e-mailed both com. about the sail panel NPD said the quarters would be like the quarters purchased directly from GM in the sixties and that they had the sail pillars. Ausley have two types of quarters one with the sail pan. that goes all the way to the top ( $349 ) and the other quarter that ends 6 inches from the top (up the sail )$299 Anybody actually use either of these quarters ??? Thanks Guys

FWIW I bot both new full quarters for my 66, Goodmark are not easily available in my area I ended up with DII quarters they were excellent I know everyone says unless Goodmark everything else poor quality But i will tell you DII have either improved there quality or were fine all along but had bad press ......see this months Super Chevy for new Dii ad . GM resto approved. Again my shop very fussy and actually wanted me to find NOS quarters but these were excellent I suspect Ausleys and others are carrying DII as they are less$ than Goodmark
Check it out.

Guys another piece of the puzzle . I e-mailed Roger Ausley to ask him if the quarters they sell were from Goodmark and his reply was NO Goodmark does not stamp these. We buy them direct from the same company that stamps them for Goodmark. The only difference is YOU are not paying for the GM expense for GM restoration decals. I asked the same question at NPD I will let everybody know when I get an answer. Al

Be sure to check that they are in fact Goodmark from one of those vendors. That particular vendor cost me close to $600 because they wouldn't take a hood and fender back that weren't Goodmark and I specifically asked if they were Goodmark.I didn't know what to look for to verify this (the Goodmark check) and they wouldn't allow me to return them(they were still in the packages).I will probably buy from them again(if it's the only place close that has what I need)but I will be sure to inspect VERY thoroughly.

A litte more info Ausleys Chevelle says their quarters are stamped by the same company that stamps Goodmark quarters - Goodmark would not name the company that stamps their quarters but did say they were stamped overseas off of steel tooling. NPD quarters are stamped by Golden Legion. Dii (Dynacorn )stamps parts for GROUNDUP,OPG,YEAR ONE,AUSLEYS and the PADOCK. Back to my original question, anyone actually use the full quarters from Ausleys or NPD? Thanks Al

I just had DII full quarters installed on my 66 they were excellent ... also I would suggest that DII has stamped stuff for Goodmark in the past... Goodmark are great marketers! DII are going out and doing some advetising and you will start to see them at various shows etc. etc.
Also don't assume these panels are all stamped oversea's there are stamping plants in Canada !!!
