A prankster at work has changed something on my settings so that every time I get a new email, the theme song from "Sanford & Son" plays, and it's getting very annoying, especially since I use my computer as my radio.

I've looked, but don't know where I go to change this setting. :confused:

He's the "computer guy" so any I.T. related questions go through him, so there's no help from that department.

Oh, forgot... my O.S. is XP :)

What email program do you use??

Outlook? Outlook express? Or some other email????

Just do this......

1. Click the Start button
2. Click Settings
3. Open Control Panel
4. Open the Sounds folder
5. Scroll through the menu, locate and select "new mail notification"
6. Click the browse button and select the sound file you want to use from your hard drive Default is Windows XP Notify
7. Click 'OK' and you are done!

Ah, you have been exposed to one of my favorite computer pranks. Changed a PC for one of my office buddies to go "Mmmmm... Beer!" every time he turned it on, and it took him a while to figure it out. I have put my collection of Homer Simpson .wavs to good use many times :D
