A friend of mine just had his old blazer painted. The painter told him to never wax the paint, but to use meguires mirror glaze #7 instead. I understand how the glaze restores the paints shine and everything, but in a very rainy area, and on a driver not show rig, is he really correct in never waxing? How long should one wait for 1st waxing? I figured 8 months to a year.

The shop that did my Malibu last year said to wait at least 6 months before the first application.
