I just bought a set of SS emblems off ebay for my 70 velle (fender or side, individual S) and they have those nuts to hold them on and the ones that I found in my car (with a bunch of other junk) has little retainers that hold the sheetmetal.
Which way is best and I can buy somewhere to put on my SS emblems?

Danny,
My green car has the clips, when I did my red one I used the nuts. I prefer the speed nuts over the clips as the emblems sit flater on the fender. Putting the nuts on though was challenging. You can pick up the speed nuts at any auto body supply store or maybe NAPA.

Danny,
Just like Rich said, the barrel clips will prevent the emblems from fitting perfectly flush against the fenders. I prefer the speed nuts too, but since I didnt want to remove the fenders after laying down fresh paint, I opted to use emblem adhesive. So far so good, but it's only been a few months. From what I can tell, they are going to hold. I just hope I never need to take them off becuase I'm not sure how the paint will like that
