70 Chevelle...

Is the metal speaker deck under the back window on two door and four door cars the same? This is the metal panel that forms the back shelf - not the speaker grill or the valence, but the actual inside metal deck.

Trying to find a replacement for a rusted out one, and found a four-door, but not sure if it's different than a two-door. Also found a '72 Monte - not sure if that's a generic panel either.

Anyone?

What you're looking for is called the "package tray". graemlins/thumbsup.gif Never seen one offered in repo or otherwise.

usually, I see the package tray as the covered cardboard piece on top. Regardless, as far as I can tell, you're right - doesn't seem like anyone offers them repop.

I'm looking at a 4-dr parts car with one, but don't know if the 4 door is the same as the two-door.

I guess one way to tell would be to see if the cardboard package tray (using it as a template) from a 2dr interchanges with one from a 4dr.
I do know on a '67, the two are very different.

i am not sure on the 4 door fit. measure your 2 door from backseat to weatherstrip gutter inside trunk. also if yours is like mine you will need the dropdown braces that attaches to the inner wheelwells. i would think that the monty would work but not the 4 door.
