also wanted to know what the best way to take a body down to the metal, both inside and out. i heard sandblasting will pit the metal, what other options are there?

That looks exactly like the color I painted my old 67 Chevelle. The color was 1997 Dodge Viper Blue. As far as taking it down to bare metal I have heard of 2 ways that are supposed to be the best: one is to have the body dipped in what I think is like and acid bath type of solvent and the other I have heard is really good is with crushed walnut shells. Apparently the walnut shells won't damage the sheet metal like some sandblasting.

Seems that around here the hot setup (for the moment) is soda blasting. The big thing is that you still HAVE TO KNOW WHAT YOU'RE DOING. Like anything else.

Looks like 94 Dark Cloisonne Blue. Corvette color.
This paint almost looks like a candy paint . 2 stage basecoat clearcoat.
