I consider myself a pretty solid 70-72 expert but I had to come ask. I just obtained what looks like a 70-72 trunk lid which is clean and looks all there, however there is a chrome trim strip at the bottom edge of the lid which is secured by screws from the inside. The strip and screws appear to be factory GM but I have never seen this on any year chevelle. Could it be possible this is from a Pont. Buick or perhaps Monte Carlo? Time to dig down in your knowledge and solve the strip mystery.

thanks,
Jalil

Jalil only 68-72 chevelle, 70-2 monte and 70-2 buick skylark lids interchange. The Buick Skylark GS used a chrome strip on the bottom, so thats your mystery decklid
