HI hope drag race season is going good 4 you guys winter over here at the moment ,just wondering the correct way off setting up deadhead fuel pressure i was going to put NOS plate in empty bucket with correct sized jet fitted turn on pump open fuel solenoid set fuel pressure the same as if it was running on car as when being used ,the ZEX instructions say use a flowing fuel pressue tool thought my idea would do the same trick am i on the right track any other ideas in setting up deadhead holley regs ,got told to turn on pump just before u stage wont give it much time to creep ?
Next ques am using zex perimeter on RPM airgap on B/B which have centre divider cut down ZEX are saying its allright to use higher HP levels on dual plane manifolds with there new perimeter system better distribution they say im thinking off staying at the old rule 150hp max on all dual plane manifolds ,any u guys gone over 150hp settings on dual plane maniflods ?
thanks victtor

I set mine flowing thru the solenoid and jet, I turn mine on after the burnout, never been a problem. I had mine set at 150hp, but never could hook it, jetted it down to 100 shot and havent tried it yet. I'm using the RPM intake also.

I put my plate in a bucket to set the flowing fuel pressure.

I have 225 jets with a big shot plate on a SBC with an air gap. I beveled the center divider of the manifold a little because the big shot tubes were right over the divider at the ends.

Make sure you use an accurate fuel pressure gauge, not some little dinky one.

Tell us what you have. If it's U.S. iron, how is the parts availability?

Hi Victor,
I've used the Holley blue pump and reg. to supply my NOS big shot system on my 454 and just checked and adjusted the pressure with it on the car and the nitrous solenoids disconnected. No problems. I've used the Big Shot system at 400HP on various DP's with no probs at all. And even though I wouldn't recommend it, I have even used two 400HP Big Shot plates/solenoids on an Edelbrock dual quad intake. Believe me, it was crazy when I hit the switch........until the trans (400) broke. As long as you make sure your mixture is good to each cylinder, you're good, regardless of whether it's a DP or SP.

Or call MSC Industrial Supply at 800.645.7270 and order a 4 1/2 0-15 psi gauge. There is a great calibrated one for $20.52 which is part number 86493970 or a certified gauge for $45.60 which is part #05808415. I have used the $20 one for years with no problems in accuracy and I have checked it against a homemade manometer.

I have attached a picture of it.

Above is from another board http://www.americandragracing.com/xmb1/index.php?p=showindex
I made a similar tool using that gauge and use a 73 fuel jet
